What is pHirst?
pHist is a urea-sulfuric acid adduct that is produced under a unique process. The end product is a high-quality, clear liquid material. A corrosion inhibitor for metal is added during the manufacturing process.
What is pHirst used for?
pHirst is a water amendment product used to treat irrigation water to lower pH and improve water quality.
What does pHirst do?
The injection of pHirst in the water source starts a complex series of reactions, first with the contained minerals in the water source and then with the soil where the treated water is applied.
What are the benefits of pHirst treated water?
1. Acidulates irrigation water to improve water penetration into the soil.
2. Destroys bicarbonates, which frees calcium to help build good soil structure and prevent soil from sealing over.
3. Reduces the incidence of localized dry spots (reduces use of wetting agents).
